Accommodation

Our bedrooms are all single, non-smoking, en-suite rooms, each with their own shower. All rooms have been graded by Visit Wales as 4* Campus Accommodation (see Footnote), a category developed for those Universities and Colleges that can accommodate visitors.

Rooms are located on the Ffriddoedd site, which is the University’s main student residential campus. The layout is such that there are eight individual bedrooms in a secure 'flat'. 

Promotion Codes

All bookings must be made using a promotion code provided by the Conference team. If your booking is related to an event the organiser should have already supplied you with a promotion code. All new bookings/enquiries should contact the Conference team on the contact details provided below to confirm availability.

Check-In / Check Out

***Please Note Reception is in the Idwal Building sign posted Halls Office***

  • Arrivals Monday to Friday: Please collect your room key from the Halls Office (Idwal building) on your arrival day between 4pm and 5pm. If arriving after 5pm, please collect your key from Security Office (No. 8 on map).
  • Arrivals Saturday to Sunday: Please collect your room key from the Security Office (No. 8 on map) from 4pm onwards.
  • Departing: Your key must be returned to the express checkout box located outside the foyer area of the Idwal block by 10am on the day of your departure.

Breakfast

A breakfast option is available for group bookings (minimum numbers apply). For further information, please contact the Conference Team.

Trouble Booking Your Room

If you experience difficulties using the online booking system or need to book more than 8 rooms or stay 8+ nights please email conference@bangor.ac.uk or call a member of the Conference Team on +44 (0) 1248 388088 (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm).

Additional Information

Free parking is generally available on the campus and from September 2022 onwards Parking Permits will be provided at Check-In.

Although most accommodation is accessible, please do let us know if you have specific requirements so we can make sure rooms are suitable for you.

If booking for children, please be aware they must be aged 11 or older at the time of their visit as accommodation is not suitable for children younger than 11.  Children must be supervised whilst on University premises and it is the Lead Booker’s responsibility to ensure appropriate supervision is provided for the children for the duration of their visit.
